Breakfast at Tiffany's

A year ago last summer I went to a Movie in the Park with two girlfriends, Alexandra (“X”) and Tori (“No-tori-ous”), at Union Square. Bundled up, blankets wrapped around us, wine flowing like beer, we enjoyed Breakfast at Tiffany’s right next to the real Tiffany's. It was terribly romantic and wonderful. This was the same night that we met a fabulous gay man named Steven, who not only gave me the ski cap you see me wearing here (that’s me, in the middle), but also taught us how to sneak a martini out of a bar: “Order two!” he says, sipping one glass at the counter while holding the second high ball in his lap, ready for easy carryout. “The bartender will see your first glass left behind, and forget you had a second!”

I still have this hat. And the high ball glass.
