Katy just posted about her little anklet socks that slipped off her heels this morning and have only been covering half of her feet all day. This reminded me of one of many pains I suffered as a small child at the hands of my abusive parents who made me wear my sister's hand-me-down panty hose to church on Sundays. The hose were always stretched out (my scrawny chicken legs didn't help) and would sag at my knees and ankles, which would just madden and horrify me to no end. I was the shy girl cowering in the back row in Sunday School, perpetually yanking at her stockings, pulling them taut for an entire satisfying thirty seconds until something made them sag again, like movement. Or breathing.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW I SUFFERED.
