Deee's husband Brian--bassist, lawyer, and
rock critic extraordinaire--was one of the hardest Portraits I've done so far. The setting--a dark bar during his show Monday night--added a challenge I hadn't confronted yet in my portrait series. I also wanted a grainy, 'hard'-looking shot to complement his bad *ss rockstarness. So I brought my tripod, bumped the ISO down to 400, pushed the shutter speed to 1/8 of a second, and started shooting away. It was loads of fun, actually. I really didn't expect any of them to end up the way they did. And all I've got to say is, this picture better make the album cover. Hotttttttttttttt.
